We've waited almost an entire baseball season to "earn" it. We have a Rookie on our hands and sometimes a daisy picker. He has fun playing the game - a social kind of fun. He's practiced each week with his team, drove off to the park with Dad for one on one, and has a pretend pitch like nobody's business. Watching him play is a complete joy. Strike out after strike out, he comes off the field with a happy-go-lucky mellow mood - a better luck next time attitude. So when he hits one in to play, lands on first base without a hitch, and sends an RBI in - it takes everything in me not to put my hands in fists and throw them up in the air - like nobody's business.
